I was looking for a battery to compliment our existing 10KW solar system which is only 1.5 years old. From the moment I submitted a request through Solar Choice (to receive 3 separate quotes) Brittany from MKG Electrical was the first to call me. I had in my mind a particular brand battery to match the EV I was driving. Although Brittany said they can most certainly install that brand, she also offered other options and ran through the benefits between them. The brand I went for was SigEnergy which was the system best suited for our requirements. After the initial call, Brittany emailed quote options based on my last 12 months usage which she analysed for these recommendations (different size batteries, inverters etc) . I had many questions and lot's of back and fourth emails which she always answered promptly and accurately. I had changed my mind a couple of times with increasing the capacity of the battery and inverter (to allow for a new pool with pool heat pump being installed) and each time she updated the quote promptly. I also wanted to add, I did receive the 2 other quotes from the other companies. MKG was the only company that offered the SIG Gateway as an option (house backup). Brittany asked me if we had many blackouts which we hardly do - (lucky to get 1 or 2 a year for a maximum of 1 hour or so) - she said to save $$ you don't need to add the Gateway. The other 2 companies did not give me this option. ie I had to take the Gateway with them. I did not end up taking the Gateway option. MKG then arranged for one of their electricians to visit the site to ensure all matched the quote and I was able to ask further questions to the electrician who was very helpful and more then happy to answer. MKG were upfront from the beginning (even before I accepted the quote) saying there was a delay on the SIGEnergy stock due to it's popularity and of course the Australian Government rebate. They updated me regularly on the stock availability right up until the install date was booked. On install day their team arrived on time and got to work right away. It was a hot day and my install required cabling from one side of house to the other. Therefore the guys had to work on roof which I'm sure it was a hard day for them but they did not complain once. Once done, Jacob ran me through the SIG app very thoroughly and all was good to go. The install was on a Saturday - on Monday morning Brittany called me to ensure I was happy with the install and if I had any other questions for them. I also want to add, MKG are an established electrical company which have been around a long time (10 years) way before the latest Government battery rebates came into play. They are not a 'pop up' business just to take advantage of the Government rebates - eg they just don't do batteries or solar - if you look a their website they take care of a whole range of electrical services. I highly, highly recommend MKG electrical I am also going to get them back out to install a SIG Car charger - sorry Brittany, looks like some more emails from me 🙂 40kw Battery, 20kw Inverter.

MKG Electrical helped me with my battery installation. The craftsmanship and customer service were second to none. They can call me a happy customer I suppose. They also did quality assurance follow up on installation and operation of my battery which was nice. I highly recommend this company for all your electrical needs.

The MKG Electrical team were very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Their quote for a 3 phase Sigenergy 32kW battery with hybrid inverter and gateway was very competitive (I already had 20kW of solar panels on my roof). What tipped the scales in their favour was they were the only ones that actually did a comprehensive site visit and inspection of my existing solar installation prior to quoting. Every step of the process has been smooth and has either met or exceeded my expectations. I couldn't be happier! I am a retired industrial electrical contractor and TAFE Teacher, their workmanship was completed to an excellent standard. Very happy to recommend the MKG Electrical team. Brittany and the whole team have been super helpful, professional, and friendly throughout the process of my battery install. Every step of the process has been smooth and has either met or exceeded my expectations. I couldn't be happier! I shopped around a bit before the install and found some other installers who were not quite meeting my expectations. They exhibited a range of issues including charging higher prices, being seemingly less knowledgable about their products, and generally not having the time to talk things through with me on a more technical level to make me comfortable with what is quite a large purchase! MKG was the total opposite! Brittany was able to walk me through the whole thing and discuss a range of options so that I could select a setup that works for me. They were honest about all the different options and quoted a price that immediately beat the other installers. On the day of the install, the team was professional and completed the work to an excellent standard. Couldn't ask for more!

Our solar system was 15 years old with a power rating of 4kWh. Initially we were looking at adding a battery to this system. After talking to a number of solar/battery providers we decided to go with MKG Electrical for the following reasons: 1. It is a local business (based at Emu Plains) and have been in business for 10 plus years. 2. No high pressure sales, on visiting our home they inquired about our needs and gave professional advice about what options would work in our situation. We decided to do the following: upgrade our switch board, replace the existing 4kWh solar system with a 10kWh system (Trina) and install a 24kWh battery (Sigenergy). (We also decided to add a microinverter (Enphase) to each panel. These microinverters allow the panels that are in full sun to work at full efficiency when one or more of the other panels are in shade. The Enphase app also allows you to monitor the performance of each panel. We would not have considered doing this without the professional advice from MKG Electrical). The Sigenergy battery also comes with an app that allows you to monitor (real time) the electricity production, storage and usage in your home. The installation of the solar system and battery was completed in one day. We are very happy with the quality of the system that was installed; the quality of the advice and service provided by MKR Electrical. We have no hesitation in highly recommending MKG Electrical.

From start to finish, the service was excellent. Alicia was friendly, efficient, and transparent with the quoting process — the pricing was fair and there was no hard selling, just honest advice. Jarrod carried out the installation with great professionalism and ensuring everything was done neatly and to a high standard. The whole process was smooth and stress-free. I’m very happy with the result and would gladly recommend them to anyone looking for an EV charger installation.

From first call to MKG electrical and talking with Brittany to arrange a solar/battery system for our home to service has been wonderful very thorough, very informative and very professional and all the team members only too happy to answer any questions you might have.
