We recently had Solahart completed an electric hot water service upgrade. This was the second time we have used Solahart on a project at our house. Their solar panel and hot water knowledge is second to none. There has been numerous occasions where I’ve needed assistance and Mark has always gone over and above to help us out. Quality work and even better after sales.
Had an issue with our 10 year old roof mounted Solar hot water heater. Contacted Solahart Eastern Ranges. They had a service person out to us later on the same day. The technician had the problem solved & up and running in an hour. Though the price for the service call & parts was very reasonable. Could not fault the whole process, highly recommend. Well done to all.

Had a solar hot water system put in October 2018. WORST decision we ever made. Had nothing but issues with its since will little or no help from Mark. Constant issues with no hot water. Cold water. Only coolish water. It was never ending. The last time I called yet AGAIN that we had woken to no hot water. I was advised that it was covered by warranty otherwise I would have engaged my own tradesperson. The tradesperson who arrived didn’t even seem to know what he was doing but eventually just changed a part. We still didn’t have hot water when he left and he left with ohhh I hope it works. We were astounded. We waited til the next morning to see if it had rectified. No hot water. Rang Solahart again and said the tradesperson had come the previous night had left in quite a cloud of doubt but we still don’t have hot water. The tradesperson they were going to supply would be days away so I got my own. The part that had been replaced was NOT necessary at ALL. He then went on to actually fix it. That was a few months ago. I RIGHTLY presumed that it was under warranty and even though Solahart hadn’t rectified it it was covered. I was very annoyed as we received a bill for $540 from our tradesman. I am within my Consumer Affairs rights to demand payment from Solahart but I just wrote it off That was until yesterday when we received an aggressive threatening phone call from Mark. Apparently we were sent a bill to a very very old decommissioned Hotmail account that hasn’t been in operation for almost 5 years. He said he had even got a read receipt saying we had seen the email. IMPOSSIBLE I can’t even log into the account It was beyond confusing as they have our address. NO BILL SENT. , they have our phone NUMBERS yet didn’t call til yesterday and with such aggression that police advised I could obtain an IVO. Consumer Affairs was contacted and a case was opened. I finally received a bill YESTERDAY. TODAY at 6.50 AM in the morning I was contacted by Solahart debt collector. This is also a breach of consumer laws. Solahart have breached section 18 and section 50 of the act. I would never recommend Solahart Eastern Ranges unless you want some unhinged manic calling you with aggression and abuse. We tried to explain about the email address and also open dialogue why not send to the house or phone sooner. It was met with abuse and threats. I’m appalled at the behaviour as we paid CADH on the day of installation have had just ongoing issues with the system and have never been happy with it. The old one held hot water for around 5 days when power is cut off during storms. This one is barely warm on a good day. I have been left frightened and intimidated by this company and particularly Mark . I’m not interested in any response the debt collector says parts have a 2 year warranty , Mark claims 3 years but my ACTUAL PAPERWORK WARRANTY IS 5 years. Solahart who knows what sort of warranty you get. They don’t even know. It’s a company that seems to be beyond aggressive and more than happy to ring and abuse pensioners . I seriously cannot believe the behaviour the aggression and complete lack of any professionalism. To just keep sending a bill to a decommissioned Hotmail account and not call LONG before it became an issue is a complete lack of professionalism and you made this situation into something it shouldn’t have been. I am now having to get a new hot water system and try and negotiate with consumer affairs to rectify all of this. I am intimidated, frightened and to be like this a week before Christmas is beyond DISGUSTING. Please try and treat people in a more respectful way and it may have a better outcome. At this stage Solahart owes us $540. Their bill is $460 I’m happy to take $60 and for you NEVER EVER to contact us again.
Very happy with how everything has been handled. From the sales process through to the installation, everything was first rate. Solahart was recommended to me by a colleague and I'd have no hesitation paying that recommendation forward. We replaced our original solar as it was underpowered and malfunctioning and also installed a heat pump hot water unit. All of the trades were on-time, polite, hardworking and left a clean working site. Can't ask for more! Thank you Cameron and Daniel and your respective teams.
We chose Solahart to replace our hot water system after recommendations from our neighbours, and I'm very glad we did. Everyone we dealt with was professional, courteous, and turned up when they said they would. The tradies who installed the new system were very experienced and took the time to explain the new system and fix up some problems left from our old one.
Absolutely brilliant job done by these guys, very prompt in every way. Would highly recommend the team!
