Customer service ‘ over and beyond’: I rang Qld Fire & Elec one morning after the linked fire alarms in our unit had randomly gone off, twice between 4am and 5am. Tom was fully booked that day but after patiently listening to my tale, asking lots of questions and then my sending and receiving labelled pics of the offending unit, he most professionally, talked my husband and I through how to disconnect and remove the faulty, hard-wired unit from our hallway till he could tend to our problem. Tom is truly deserving of so many excellent reviews. Not only are his technical knowledge and expertise impeccable, his patience in reassuring and explaining issues to his customers (especially us older ones) is very much appreciated. Tom was a pleasure to interact with throughout the process of getting new smoke alarms installed. When he showed up to scope the place to give a quote he even brought a few of the options and walked me through some of the features. He took the time to explain the options and walk through the decision making for placement of the fire alarms, which was not something other installers did when they came to provide quotes. Actual install of the smoke alarms was easy to schedule, quick and clean as well. On top of that, the price was pretty good. From the moment we asked about our smoke alarm system to the day it was all set up, it was a breeze! Tom was super friendly and easy to chat with. He answered all our questions and explained everything in a way that made perfect sense. He was also great with our Foster son, who followed him around, chatting the whole time . And guess what?
