Very much agree with previous reviews. The constant contact from this company is becoming unbearable. I’ve been receiving calls and texts at all hours trying to schedule appointments for smoke alarm testing, electrical testing, and gas safety checks. I booked everything, the technician came out, and he was absolutely fantastic, professional, polite, and efficient. But then, a week later, I’m getting more texts telling me to book a gas safety appointment with someone else. Why wasn’t everything done on the same day when technicians were clearly available? Why am I being contacted repeatedly after the work was already completed? The communication and scheduling system is genuinely appalling. I can’t keep rearranging my days because appointments are being split up unnecessarily. Everything should be organised efficiently and done in 2 visits on a single day if one technician can’t handle all tasks. The lack of coordination and the constant calls are incredibly frustrating and completely avoidable. It’s a shame the good work of the technicians is overshadowed by the service centre experience.

We have been using Smoke alarms Australia to service all of our properties and couldn’t be happier with the experience so far. A big thank you to Alan for making the process smooth and hassle-free. He’s extremely patient, knowledgeable, and always willing to assist whenever needed. The system itself has been fantastic, and we’re very impressed with how efficiently everything is managed.

Two bad experiences already - first time during testing I was waiting inside my apartment for over an hour while all the alarms were going off and no one came to check mine saying I wasn’t home and costing me a $95 fine -second time booking an appointment for 4pm only for them to change it last minute to 4:50pm which would cause me to be late to work but then not show up!! Called them again and they said they came at 4.28pm I was home waiting the entire time not even a phone call from them or any attempt at all to do the appointment no cars came anywhere near my drive way! I refuse to pay a fine for their own misconduct

The service centre for Smoke Alarms Australia is absolutely appalling. It is clearly outsourced overseas, with staff who call and text at all hours of the day in a manner that comes across as unprofessional, aggressive, and frankly scam-like. My phone now automatically flags their calls and texts as spam, which says everything about how poor the communication practices are. By contrast, the service technicians who actually attend properties are excellent — polite, professional, and a credit to the company. Unfortunately, their good work is completely undermined by the shocking experience of dealing with the call centre. The conduct of the service centre is so poor that it makes me want to lodge a complaint with the ACCC. Speaking both as a renter and as a landlord, I would strongly avoid using Smoke Alarms Australia if I had any choice in the matter.

I have dealt with Smoke Alarms Australia in a professional capacity for 20 years! I have watched them evolve over the years and found them to be reliable, dynamic and progressive as regulations and technology changes. In recent times I have had the pleasure of working with Nicklaus Llamas as our Relationship Manager. He has worked closely with us to ensure that all our properties are compliant and protected and has implemented integrations with our systems to ensure maximum efficiency. Very happy with Nick, his proactive approach and the Smoke Alarms Australia team!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Smoke Alarms Australia constantly calls and messages outside of business hours, including weekends, which is incredibly intrusive. They frequently reschedule or cancel confirmed appointments with little to no notice, making it impossible to plan around them. Even after I pushed back on the last reschedule and they agreed to retain the original appointment, they still messaged later saying they’d be arriving after the agreed time frame. Extremely unprofessional and unreliable service. It’s been a month of back and forth with them and I’m still yet to have my smoke alarms inspected.

Shaun maintained contact with me regarding his distance from our home, & arrived promptly at the arranged time. During his visit, he was polite, efficient, & informative. On testing & completing the arranged tasks, he thanked us & left.
