QLD Fresh Painting

My sister hired Arif to paint the exterior of our hi-set home. I was extremely upset with his prep work and I did tell him. I was upset that he did not scrape or sand all the flakey paint off, after he power washed it. Also, he did not fill and smooth over any of the dents that the house had. I felt he was rushing the job, because by day two, he was already painting the house, which really shocked me. He worked alone and he was a very cunning and messy worker. Paint chips everywhere, hose left out after being used, accessed our garage for power without even asking, put his empty paint buckets, plastic sheets, in our green bin, left all his empty filler tubes in a bucket for us to dispose of. He also didn't want to paint the last bit of trim around the back of house because it was not part of the plan??? On a positive note he did clean the garage roof well, he cleared the area around the garage to be painted, and he makes a bad prep job, look good. I feel he did not hear my complaint, and misunderstood what I was telling him. The job took him two weeks (not incl. weekend) to complete. I do not recommend him at all.

I recommend Arif for having the can do attitude and did not waste time with starting the job. Painters in the past saw issues with accessing the front of the house weatherboards with the carport as a partial obstruction. Arif did not see it as a problem at all. Other painters suggested a cherry picker etc. Arif persevered thru the noise. The house was built in the 70s and from 2009 the house never received any paint or prep. The weatherboards were chipped etc it was in a really sad condition. Arif had an enormous task to paint the exterior of a high set house with a balcony to the rear as well and a massive double garage. To Varnish French doors upstairs and downstairs. Steps were to be painted as well. Anything that needed attention Arif was more than willing to rectify. Thank you Arif for being a champion.
