I can not express how happy I am with Darko and his amazing team. Darko is very professional and knowledgeable also extremely patient and listens to your request. Catherine is very efficient and made it easy to get permit and the initial contract. Mel is very friendly and a great coordinator. Can’t thank Oli enough with his professional neat brick work and same goes to Vic. This team has changed my mindset about building. Such pleasure to work with them and I truely enjoy looking at my fence.

I had a profoundly unsatisfactory experience with Custom Built Fencing, both with their employees and the owner, and strongly advise against utilising their services. On February 14, 2025, a technician visited to inspect a gate motor they had installed. I had paid a $200 call-out fee, and the technician identified two potential issues: the photocells or motherboard. He replaced the photocells for $300, but the problem persisted. Despite confirming that the original photocells appeared functional, I was still charged for the replacement. The technician suggested the motherboard was the issue and scheduled a return visit on February 21, 2025. After replacing the motherboard for $424, the gate continued to malfunction. The technician insisted the motor was not the issue, but it appeared he had disregarded the manufacturer’s instructions when programming the gate. I pointed this out, but he refused to rectify the situation. After contacting the head office, the technician disconnected the gate. On February 27, 2025, he returned with another technician, who exhibited an aggressive and dismissive demeanour. He disregarded my perspective and repeatedly interrupted my attempts to explain the situation. Despite my requests for calmness and active listening, he refused to comply. Eventually, I instructed him to repair the gate and depart. At that point, I had already incurred a total cost of $1,004 ($300 for the photocells, $424 for the motherboard, and $80 for an additional key). I contacted the owner, who promised to investigate the matter. However, when I followed up on March 12, 2025, he claimed he would not send anyone due to my "aggressive behaviour" and refused to review video evidence proving it was the technician rather than the customer. He offered a $200 refund for the call-out fee but declined to address the gate issues or honour the warranty. On March 15, 2025, I submitted a request for a larger refund due to services not being completed and a detailed report on the completed work. However, the owner disregarded my requests and insisted that the job would only be completed without my presence. On March 16, 2025, the technician canceled the appointment once again. After further negotiations, the technician finally completed the work on March 20, 2025, and the gate is now operational. This experience was exceptionally frustrating, and I strongly advise against recommending Custom Built Fencing to any potential clients.

Darko and his team built our brick/steel fence and we've been really happy with the results. The workmanship has been good and we've appreciated that his team turns up when they say they will and when we asked for a service call 3 months after the completion to check on the gate motor, they were there within 3 days. During construction, Darko came to check in on the progress regularly and gave us the feeling that he cared about the quality of the work. Would recommend.

I am extremely pleased with these folks. They have been very patient with me and all. They handled every step of the process with very high level of professionalism. Each of their worker is not only polite but highly skilled. The products that they used including the gate motor and pedestrian gate lock handle, are of high grade. My neighbours have nothing but praises for the way the work was carried out and the final product. Well done Darko. I have no hesitation recommending you to my family and friends. Darko and his staff were great to deal with throughout the entire process. Very knowledgeable. Even helped me with the permit when there was a issue with the council. Installation crew was great. Had my job done on time and was flawless.
