We're so happy with our big, new off-grid installation from Nick and his team at Effective/Ballarat Solar. The project was a sizeable undertaking; Effective gave us a very competitive quote. It involved three roofs, 39 panels, 2 inverters, trenching, machinery pad with a steel, weatherproof, secure walk-in battery/inverter/control board and a mine-rated generator. It was all completed at a remote site in seven calendar days. I haven't seen or heard of a crew of sparkies working with the quality and pace of the guys we had here last fortnight. We're on a Sanctuary, where plastic/industrial waste and litter is a significant threat and our site was left immaculate. The team comprises more than a dozen friendly and polite crew, a credit to the business they work for. We expected a teething period, ironing-out bugs in the system. However the first few weeks of service have been a dream...and we're in the middle of winter! I highly recommend this business and received no compensation for my review. UNTRUSTWORTHY COMPANY!!! LITERALLY COUNT THE NUMBER OF PANELS AFTER THEY INSTALL EVEN THOUGH YOU MAY HAVE TO HIRE A HANDYMAN FOR THIS! We used them for solar installation for our business. We were thinking of giving business to the local company and didn't;t go for another quote or opinion. The person who came to inspect our roof initially said the roof is okay to proceed with installation. Subsequently, the installation team said the roof needs to be replaced for damages before they proceed. Finally, they agreed to install solar on our roof after roof was repaired. The solar installation took place on 31/8/21. No paperwork or manuals handed over up until we asked for it. When we received the warranty papers, we learnt that they installed lesser number of panels only compared to originally quoted. When contacted them upon this problem, they came up with an idea of $250 refund as a compensation. We rejected this idea and insisted upon adding the panels to the system that are deficit. The representative spoke to the boss and said that he shall get it fixed. That's it and we haven't heard anything in the last 4 weeks since contacting them. Now, we learnt that the representative has left the company and they will contact me soonish to update. We will seek legal assistance on this matter soon if they don't fix our issue as they might have done similar kind of practices elsewhere.

A wonderfully positive experience with my solar installation. The four young men were prompt, polite and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company.

After being left in the cold with my wife & 2 babies as we have no mains power & lived off a generator for several months due to being caught up in a shonky solar mob from Melbourne & losing 10's of thousands of dollars, we approached Mark who completely understood our situation & we could not be more greatful for Marks kindness & professionalism, within a couple of weeks Mark & his team had a beautiful system up & running 4 us which has absolutely changed our lifes! We have all the power we need & more even with weather being not great! We are so thankful & greatful guys & no at this stage have not been able to recoupe any of the money stolen from us, Mark has been kind enough to give us a little extra time to get our finances sorted to pay for Marks system which has got us through! Just!! So thankyou thankyou thankyou we are just so greatful!! Heres a tip anyone looking to purchase a system, trust the local guys & especially effective electrical whos knowledge & professionalism are absolutely impeccable!!
