Shannon’s Concrete and Earthmoving Services

Shannon's Concrete was given plans for my new patio and still got the concrete size incorrect. The issue with the downpipe is a result of the incorrect concrete size. I would not recommend using them. They are unorganised only arranging to be on site early in the morning of the job or just rock up with no notice. Update they came back to fix the problem

Interesting that my recent 1-Star review is no longer visible, so I will share my feedback once again. Shannon's were engaged to lay a new slab for a shed, extend an existing patio slab and install a slip drain alongside this. Both the work and communications throughout were of very poor quality, but they key points for any potential new customers to be aware of are as follows: - the shed slab was undersized and dips in the middle. This has resulted in considerable extra costs when installing the shed to make this fit and watertight. - the wrong colours were applied when spraycreting the patio slab and the sealant not evenly applied. - the slip drain was installed with the fall in the wrong direction which caused water to pool and it took multiple calls and emails, as well as three additional attempts for them to do this properly. - the work was supposed to be completed within 2-weeks, but was not finalised for almost 12-months. Shannon offered a partial refund for the poor quality of their work and the inconvenience caused by the long delays. This has not been received and there has been no response to multiple follow-up emails (I have copies of the emails confirming the refund was offered and the many, many follow-ups from me). In summary, I would not recommend Shannon's for any concrete or earthmoving works. There are far more reliable businesses in the area who are deserving of your hard-earned money.

Concrete was laid unlevel and ponded in middle of patio under dining table setting. They kept telling me Shannon would call but never did - eventually did after i kept asking!! They grinded some of the concrete down but job was never completed! I asked for half refund so i could get repaired properly - still waiting for Shannon to call to this day - 30th April 2024. Date is now 19th of June and the owner of this company - Shannon has still not bothered to phone me regarding repairing his faulty work. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Was going to leave a review hoping that you concrete better than you drive. But looks like you can’t do either. Maybe don’t cut people off and continue to drive like an idiot, when you are clearly advertising your business.

Concrete was great. Drain put in wrong area. His dog stepped on wet concrete now pools in that area. Never came back to fix after repeated messages. Done 2020.

Recommended contractor for Dulux Avista stenciling .Major faults in preparation --color --finish -- workmanship. Complaint accepted by Shannon's -- Dulux -- QBCC . Job completed December 2021 they have not been back to "rectify". This job is open to inspection by anyone . 85 Fountain Rd Burpengary East
