I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with Bell Airconditioning & Electrical Mackay, after they handled a quote request for a single PowerPoint installation. Initially, I wasn't keen on proceeding because they charge $100 just to come out for a quote, which seemed a bit steep to me. But I went ahead and booked it, knowing the fee would be deducted from the quote if I decided to go with them. They said they'd arrive between 12pm-3pm on the appointed day, but no one showed up. I tried calling the office around 4:30pm, but it rang out, so I left a message. I tried again shortly after, and it went to after-hours tech, which also rang out, so I left another message. I got an automated text saying they'd missed my call and I could text back for prompt assistance, so I did – but got no response or callback that day. The next morning, I got a text reply incorrectly stating they'd attended the day before, which they hadn't since I'd only booked it that same day. I replied back stating as much and never received another response back. I spoke to Natasha at head office, and although apologetic she said their guys just got busy and didn't make it. I expressed my frustration about paying for a quote, them not showing, and not even bothering to call to let me know they weren't coming – I don’t appreciate my time being wasted. Against my better judgement again, I let them rebook me for the next day at 7am, mainly because I didn't want to lose the $100 I'd already shelled out. They also told me twice that if they had the parts, they could do the job same-day. Someone turned up at 7:15am, scoped the job in about 15 minutes, and gave me a quote way higher than I'd expected. And they said they couldn't do it same-day after all – no idea why I'd been told otherwise. As a would-be customer, I was pretty appalled by the customer service. I've since gone to Bauer Electrical – they booked me in for a quote the very next day with a 1-hour window, turned up on time, don't charge for quotes, and their price was $150 cheaper. Needless to say, I'm done with Bell Airconditioning & Electrical Mackay and will be taking my business to Bauer from now on.

Emily was very helpful in arranging an electrician to attend immediately as my smoke alarms were ringing constantly. Thanks to the team at Bell for your attendance and solving the problem.
