I've used Grotec for several times now and always found their service 5 star, from the Administration department their field technicians, also the communication skills is fantastic. They also organised the electrician to installed our isolator switch, which was done the same day. Keep up the exceptional customer service team, also special mentioned to Daniel

Avoid! Ordered deep cleaning of 3 aircons totalling $500 for a 1 hour worth of work. Asked to clean out mould previously detected by a professional mould inspector. What they cleaned is a question. Dust is still there. Mould is still there. They were very pushy with the payment. They've demanded to be paid on the spot even before a tax invoice has been issued which is against the rules. Invoice first, payment after! Their technician refused to leave and had to wait additional 30 minutes in my house demanding bank transfer payment while waiting until the back office issues the invoice. What a waste of everyone's time! I haven't received such pressure on payment from any other tradie or company. No wonder they were so pushy - they do it this way so you don't have time to check the quality of their work and demand redoing it. As they won't redo it! I was unable to resolve the issue with them even though they admitted they didn't mould-clean the aircons and they didn't do deep cleaning despite me ordering it. Their phone calls are recorded and they went through the recording and agreed that I asked for a deep clean. However, the only thing they offered was for me to pay again for what I already paid. Even though they agreed they didn't perform the service which I ordered, they declined to refund me what I paid. Their customer service is non-existent.

Avoid Grotec Mechanical Services at All Costs – A Masterclass in Incompetence If you’re considering hiring Grotec Mechanical Services for your air conditioning or ductwork installation, don’t. Just don’t. Unless you’re specifically looking for an example of how not to do HVAC. We recently discovered why our home was never heating properly – and what we found under the house is the stuff of nightmares. Their installation work is beyond negligent; it's outright laughable for any company claiming to be a "mechanical service provider." Let’s break it down with cold, hard evidence: Ductwork Held Together by Duct Tape & Hope Rather than properly sizing and coupling ducts, Grotec "joined" completely different-sized duct sections together using regular duct tape (not even HVAC-grade). This is not a fix—it’s a ticking time bomb for airflow failure. No mechanical couplers, no proper seals, just the cheapest possible shortcut. The connections inevitably fell apart, leaving gaping holes in the system. [See images 2, 3, and 5] – There’s literally a complete disconnect between ducts. Air goes nowhere but into the dirt. Sloppy & Dangerous Installation The ducts are loosely suspended with nylon straps in ways that look like a DIY weekend job gone wrong. The angles are unnatural, some lines are bent, squashed or crushed, and absolutely no care was taken to avoid mechanical stress or sagging. Long-term damage was guaranteed. [See image 1 and 3] – Uninsulated, exposed, misaligned. Misaligned Duct Sizes In a professional HVAC installation, duct diameters must match to preserve airflow and efficiency. Here, they didn't even try. Imagine shoving a square peg into a round hole and sealing it with tape. That's the level of craftsmanship at work here. [See image 4] – It's laughable if it weren’t such a waste of time, energy, and money. Result: A Non-Functional System For months we wondered why the system wasn’t heating properly. Turns out, air wasn’t even making it into the rooms – it was just spilling out under the house. Grotec didn’t install an air conditioning system—they installed a giant underfloor air leak. The comfort, energy, and cost losses we’ve suffered due to this job are appalling. Their "work" is so poorly executed that it borders on gross negligence. Final Verdict: Avoid Grotec Mechanical Services at all costs. They failed at every basic principle of HVAC installation: proper connection, insulation, structural integrity, and airflow logic. Their shortcuts are not only unprofessional—they’re borderline fraudulent. If you're after a functional, reliable, and professionally installed system, look literally anywhere else.

Can not recommend Grotec highly enough. I had my out dated ducted system replaced and can not believe the difference it's made. Super impressed with the service from start to finish and no mess whatsoever so ever left behind. FINALY looking forward to a cool house this summer!!! Good service during install with friendly people and someone came out once to fix ducts that have popped off soon after install. But over 3 years of having the system we are continuously having similar issues to the other posts where ducts are disconnecting in several places. Goodness knows how much money we have spent heating and cooling under our house. Several emails back and forth and they refused to take any accountability. Only that I could pay $297 for them to come and inspect and service it.

Both my husband and I are very impressed with the man.  He was punctual, courteous, competent, quick, neat, careful in his duties and genuinely pleasant in course of our interactions. The team at Grotec have been exceptional! Since we had our two ducted reverse cycle systems installed, the advise, service and quality of workmanship has been great. We continue to have our systems serviced by the team and regularly refer our friends to Daniel and the team.
